Embodied Expression

For the past seven years, I’ve been immersed in the study of

trauma, somatics, and embodiment through movement.

What began as part of my own healing journey gradually

became something much larger — a way of developing

a deeper relationship with my body, my creativity,

and my own expression.

As an actor, I’ve spent much of my life telling stories.

Embodiment has opened up new ways of doing that —

through movement, myth, image, character, sensation, and play.

I’ve been exploring what happens when I let these worlds meet.

In my acting, as well as the art and mythic journeys I'm creating.

short-form stories I’ve been creating.

MOVEMENT JOURNEYS

This has been where myth, storytelling and embodiment come together. What happens when we fully embody a story, its characters and themes.

What does it teach us about ourselves?

The Practice of Embodiment

This isn't dance.

We use meditative and intuitive movement to explore different characters and different parts of ourselves.

Listening with breath, sound, movement and pleasure.

And much like acting, whether you are an actor or not, we inhabit the circumstances of the story and play from there.

Testimonials

I had the honor of taking Melissa’s class, and it was nothing short of profound. Melissa creates the ideal conditions for true transformation—through her grounded presence, intuitive guidance, and the deep safety she offers each participant. Her way of holding space feels like an open invitation to meet yourself fully—without judgment, without rush.

The class wasn’t just movement; it was a transmission. A remembering. A reclamation. I found myself touching emotions I didn’t know were stored in my body and giving them shape, sound, and breath... If you’re ready to transmute emotion through the body—this is the medicine.
